My name is Mark Dyer, I'm 48 years old and live in North Perrott, Somerset however I run my own joinery business up in Chew Valley, near Bristol.
I took up shooting late in life at 28 years old and my first game shooting experience was on my wife's family farm shoot and I was immediately hooked. At present, I help run Chideock Manor Shoot (both pheasants and simulated game days) where I am shoot captain. I am also on the committee and help run the Holy Tree Clay Shoot.
I compete most sundays, clay shooting around CPSA shooting grounds. I started competitive clay shooting 5 years ago and enjoye it so much that I have progressed from B Class to AA Shooter and would love to get to AAA. The gun I use for both Clay and Game is a Krieghoff K80 Super Sporter (Bavaria Royal).
In 2017 I won the Somerset Sporting Championship and in 2018 I came second in Sport Trap. I have also won local straw bale shoots and at country fairs. My other passion are pigeon shooting and deer stalking.
I really appreciate Avalon Guns giving me the opportunity to become a brand ambassador and anyone who wants help and advice on clay shooting, game shooting or even a lesson, please come and speak to me at anytime!
